As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Ashley created her practice to offer holistic, culturally centered care for new parents. Her work is rooted in education, advocacy, and the belief that breastfeeding is a form of preventative medicine—not just nourishment, but a foundation for lifelong wellness.

Ashley leads with heart, knowledge, and a clear mission: to affirm, educate, and empower families from the very start of their parenting journey. Her services center the bond between parent and baby while honoring the diverse cultural experiences of those she serves.
She provides maternal-child health support that extends beyond just breastfeeding—it’s care that affirms and equips parents to confidently navigate one of life’s most intimate transitions.
💡 The Why Behind the Work
Ashley’s journey hasn’t been without challenges—especially when it comes to building a sustainable, independent business model that doesn’t rely heavily on insurance reimbursements, which often underpay for lactation care.
“As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I could absolutely earn a living working in traditional clinical roles. But those positions often demand long hours of paperwork, insurance billing, and reactive care that don’t align with my passion or purpose. My focus is on prevention—and to me, that starts with breastfeeding.”
Instead of spending countless hours reviewing labs and managing follow-ups in primary care, Ashley has chosen to invest her energy into lactation work that supports families proactively. Her long-term goal is to grow a thriving, private-pay practice that honors her time, expertise, and emotional energy—while expanding her reach and deepening her impact.
🌱 Building Beyond the Business
Ashley is now focused on building a profitable, community-rooted practice that values the full scope of care she provides. This includes finding ways to hire support, expand outreach, and offer mentorship to others entering the field.
“This is just the beginning,” Ashley says. “I want to create a space where other providers and birth workers can not only train in lactation but also learn to care for both mom and baby through a holistic, medical lens.”
Her vision is clear: to build an ecosystem of care that uplifts families—and the professionals who serve them.
